As the nose is center of the face the face and it is the first thing that anybody notices in your face because of that if it is crooked or deformed either hereditary or due to accident people want to correct it. Many people who are afraid of any operation do want to correct this but in the back of their mind there noses always trouble them. So nowadays we have an alternative to these patient to correct their noses non surgically. This is done by fillers or lunch time rhinoplasty.
The trend of these fillers in nose is increasing not due to the number of professional doing fillers are increasing but also patient awareness is increasing. The main advantage of filler rhinoplasty also called liquid rhinoplasty is there is minimal post procedure downtime. You can return to work immediately after the procedure with very little swelling.
PROCEDURE OF LIQUID RHINOPLASTY:
First like any rhinoplasty assessment is very important . We must assess what is required . Which area requires the fillers. what deformity we need to correct and plan of putting the fillers is very important. We must tell the patient that fillers can only be used to define the areas and also to camouflage certain deformities with filler we cannot decrease the height for that surgery is the best option.
Most of the patients they come for hump correction so raising the height of radix or the distal part will camouflage the hump. For tip correction we have to start from columella to give support and then go to the tip taken care that there is no blanching.
To give the fillers pain free we can block the infra orbital nerves so that it becomes pain free.
Nowadays most of the fillers are coming with local anaesthetic so that they immediately nub the area where they are injected.
The only problem with fillers is they are temporary and need to be repeated after 6 to 18 months depending on the type of fillers used. We don’t recommend permanent fillers as they have many side effect.
